EXPECTED LIFTING
FEDERAL GOLD EMBARGO
PRESIDENT'S ATTITUDE
(Received April 5, 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 5. President Boosevelt expects to issue an executive order lifting the Federal gold embargo. The President is prepared to ease the gold embargo to permit licensed exchanges of gold for necessary commercial transactions. An executive order has been, prepared and -will probably be signed on Wednesday. The President will continue his firm executive hold on the gold supply of the United States to prevent foreign raids or domestic hoarding, but otherwise the embargo will be lifted.
