AUCKLAND'S ATTITUDE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The refusal of the Auckland Yacht and Slotor-boat Associations'to affiliate with the recently-formed Xew Zealand Yachting ■Council, which is 'intended to control interprovincial yachting and motor-boating contests, was the subject of lengthy discussion at a meeting of delegates to the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association. ... . . .
After ..considering the reasons advanced by the Auckland body, the meeting decided to refer a letter, dated.March 24, from the Auckland' Yacht and Motorboat Association to the New Zealand Yachting Council for reply. The Canterbury Associatidn reaffirmed its confidence in the council, and decided that no entry be made for any sailing or motor-boating contest outside the Canterbury Province except with the * approval of the New Zealand Yachting Council.
