R.P.N;Y.C. CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Eoyal Port Nicholson Yacht Club's racing season for keel yachts closed last Saturday, finalising the championship and aggregate competitions in. the first and second classes. ThoAilea won. the first-class championship, and the Viola was the winner, of the"aggregate, while the Nanette was successful in both, the second-class championship and the aggregate. The points scored in {he two classes were as follows the boat with the least points in. each case being the winner:—First class: Ailsa, championship points 14,, aggregate points 20; Viola, 22, 17'; Eona, 21, 21; Wairere 11, 19, 25; Atalanta, 30, 24; Wairere I, 33, 32. Second class: Nanette, championship points 12, aggregate points 19, Galatea, 16, 21; Miru, 32, 25; Isca, 34, 25.; lolanthe, 31, 32; Komp, 32, 33; Bawene, 37, 37; Annetta, 38, 40. Owing to postponements caused by the boisterous weather conditions which prevailed early in the season three races have still to 'be sailed off in the 18ft-and-under '■'class, but the present positions of the boats indicate close j finishes in the championship and aggregate competitions. The club's honorary secretary, Mr. G. Roller, leaves on transfer . .to Christ- i church next week. He ; will take with! him the good wishes of yachtsmen and the club's appreciation of his services.
