TODAY'S RACING
EXCELLENT CONDITIONS
The conditions at Petone at 2 o'clock today for the inter-provincial eight-oar rowing championships were excellent.. The-wind-was fairly strong, but showed signs of 'dropping, and the water was comparatively smooth. The six crews should provide a spectacular and exciting contest. ■ The public will have a wonderful opportunity of viewing the event from the special train which will follow the race over the whole distance. The train, in fact, will be a travelling grandstand and will provide the biTst possible vantage point.
