PRIZES PRESENTED
COMMERCIAL EXAMINA-
TIONS
Candidates who were successful at the commercial examinations held in December last, under the auspices of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, attended a meeting of the council of the chamber last evening, when the presentation of prizes was- made by the chairman, Mr. J. Pearee LuUc.
Certificates were presented as follows:—
Miss Marjorie If. Jones: First prize, shorthand, 100 w.p.m. (honours pass); first prize, typewriting, senior (honours pass); merit prize, honours shorthand, 160 w-.p.m., honours typewriting, senior, and Mr. _ Andrew Fletcher's prize. Miss Nellie Bromley: First prize, penmanship (distinction pass). ■ Gordon L. Whyte: Second prize, penmanship (pass); merit prize, honours shorthand, speed 80 w.p.m., honours typewriting, junior, pas's handwriting. Wiutou G. Bear: First prize/ bookkeeping, senior (distinction pass). Miss Molly J. H. Robertson: Merit prize honours shorthand, speed 100 w.p.m!, honours typewriting, junior, honours shorthand, theory, pass handwriting. Miss Norma I'. Jordan: Merit prize, honours shorthand, 6peed 100 w.p.m., honours typewriting, junior, pass shorthand, theory.
Miss Janie P. Turner: Merit pass, honours shorthand, speed 100 w.p.m., honours typewriting, junior.
