MOTOR CAMP
SITE AT MASTERTON
EASTER POSSIBILITY
(By Telegraph.)
(Special to "The Evening Post.")
MASTERTON, This Day.
An endeavour is to be made to have the Mawley Memorial Park available for use as a motor camping site at Easter time. At yesterday's meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and last night's meeting of the Borough Council the development of portion of the area as a camp site was given consideration. The council was prepared to put in gas and water, and it was stated at the Chamber of Commerce meeting that satisfactory arrangements could be made for temporary facilities for Easter campers. A meeting of interested parties is to bo held as soon as possible to go into the matter. " The setting up of a motor camping ground in Masterton has been the subject of protracted discussion, the claims of several sites being advanced. The presentation of a convenient- area by Mrs. Mawley, however, has more or less solved the difficulty, and its early development is practically assured.
