A COIN TEA
ADDRESS BY DR. BRYSON
Having recently returned from abroad, Dr. Elizabeth Bryson had much to say that- was of interest to her women hearers at a "coin tea" given yesterday afternoon by the National Council of Women. The New Zealand Educational Institute room in the "Evening Post" building was arranged drawing-room , fashion, and members and their friends were met by Mrs. Suckling (president). The Mayoress, Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, was present, and posies of flowers were presented to her and to Dr. Bryson. During the afternoon songs were sung by Mrs. Rishworth and Mr. Rishworth. Dr. Bryson spoke interestingly of her travels and her impressions of London and Paris, and those present were particularly, interested in her description of a special milk farm, which she had visited in Edinburgh, where research work was being carried out in connection with the treatment of rickets in children. Ultra-violet light was one of the chief factors in this work.
