Commander B. Ramsbotham, R.N., H.M.S. Laburnum, and Mrs. Eainsbotham have taken a flat in Hill Street during their stay in Wellington. ' Ali-s. Charles Gould, "Christchurch, is paying a brief visit to Wellington. Mrs. -,J. C. Westall, who has been visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. Prank Wilding, Christehurch, has arrived in Wellington. Miss Margaret Shore, who has been spending a brief holiday with her parents, . Mr. and Mrs. 'R. A. Shore,- returned to New Plymouth this morning. Miss Nora Kelly, of the "Sydney Bulletin" staff, is visiting Wellington, and is staying at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. Ernest Firth and Miss Edna Firth, Christehurch, arrived in Wellington this week en route to . England, and will return to New Zealand early next year. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Lewis have returned to Christehurch after a tour of the North Island. Miss Eileen Handcoek, Nurses' Home, New Plymouth, is spending a short holiday in AVellington,! and is the guest of Mrs. James Connor. Mrs. D. G. Sullivan left Wellington for Chrjstehureli on Wednesday evening. A Press Association cable message from London today announces the -marriage of Miss Mary Lcnnie, Island Bay, Wellington, and Mr. E. Richards, pilot of Lady Chaytor's' aeroplane, on her recent flight to Australia. Invitations have been issued by the New Zealand Women Writers' * and Artists' Society for a reception to be held in the Lyceum Club Booms on Tuesday next, when Miss Rosemary Eees will be the guest of honour. Dr. Sylvia Chapman, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. P. Houghton, Beinuera, Auckland. Mrs. Alfred Kidd, Auckland, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned north. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Currie, Kai Iwi, arrived yesterday, and are staying at the Royal Oak Hotel. Miss Jean' Stevenson, national general secretary .of the T.W.C.A., of New Zealand, is visiting Dunedin. Visitors to Wellington staying at the Midland Hotel include Mrs. Douglas, ■ Mrs. B. S. Hilton, Mrs. J. Buchanan, Mrs. H. Buchanan, Miss Betty Kiver (Christchurch), Mrs. L. Hecly (Queensland), and the Misses L. and M. Hamilton-Murray (Palmerston North). Mrs. D. M. Wright (Takapau) and Mrs. E. Forsyth (Taihape) are among the guests at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. J. Walker (Auckland) is staying at the Hotel St. George. Visitors to Wellington staying at the Eoyal Oak Hotel include Mrs. T. E. Evans (Qtaki), Miss Moore (Nelson), and Mrs. Maiden (Dunedin).
