BILLIARDS LEAGUE
_ The eleventh round of games in the Wellington Billiards and Snooker League was commenced last night with the following results:—Alpha 9 beat City 7, Miramar 10' beat P. and T. 6, Empire 9 beat National 7, Victory 12 beat Lyall Bay i, Brooklyn H beat Queen's 2, V.M.C.A. 9 beat Kilbirnie 7; Midland, a bye. The championship points now are:— Brooklyn 32, Empire 30, National Club 30 Victory 27, Lyall Bay 24, Alpha 22, City 21, V.M.C.A. 19, Kilbirnie 14, Queen's 14, Miramar 12, Midland 11, Post and Telegraph 10, Island Bay 0.
The eleventh round will be continued next Thursday, when the following teams will meet (home' teams mentioned first):— Lyall Bay v. Victor}', Queen's v. Brooklyn, City v. Alpha, V.M.C.A. v. Kilbirnie, Empire v. National Club, Miramar v. Post and Telegraph, Midland, a bye.
