SPORTING LICENCES

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A suggestion from the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society that with a viewto raising more revenue to compensate the societies for losses in the number of licences and in reduced subscriptions licences issued in any district should be made operative in that district only instead of the whole Dominion, with the exception of Taupo and Rotorua. was not received with favour at a meeting of the Council of. the North Canterbury Society, and a motion was carried opposing the resolution.
