WELLINGTON ESPERANTO CLUB.
'The weekly' meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held last night in the Y.M.G.A. Mr, Bertram1 Potts presided over a large attendance. After the enrolment1 of new members, several'classes were organised. Mr. E. C. Jack and Mr. J. K. Campbell each presented to the club library a series of Esperanto books, comprising both original and translated works, ranging • from the popular novel to scientific works. Later the president conducted a special half-hour course for junior students, while the senior members were engaged in a separate conversation class. Mr. L. E. Dust, D.8.E.A., gave a talk for advanced students on "La Moderna Lokomotivo," with pictorial chart on the blackboard. The concluding item was an original Esperanto comedy, entitled "La Aukcio," the roles being presented by Misses T. Wind, Penman, M.. Leek, G. Carty, Mrs. J. F.Corrick, and Messrs. P. Morganti, Gordon Tait, J. K. Campbell, Gordon Harkness (the innocent victim), L. E. Dust (the persistent buyer), vernon Leek (auctioneer's assistant), and Bertram Potts (auctioneer).
