PUBLIC SERVICE FINAL
The semi-finals and final of the Public Service bowling tournament were played on Thorndon bowling green yesterday afternoon, the final being won by Potter (Post and Telegraph), who defeated Porteous (Legislation). The shield and medals were presented at the close to the winners and runnersUP bL- th£ President of the association, Air. W. Kobertson, Under-Secretary for Lands, who expressed thanks to the presidents of Thorndon and Hataitai Clubs, Messrs. N. W. Nelson and H. L. Brighting for the use of the greens and for giving their services as -umpires when section' play took He also thanked Mrs. Moston and lady helpers ,for catering at Hataitai during the day;* the Thorndon Clnb for the catering arrangements there; and the secretaries^ Messrl.
