DE LUXE THEATRE.
.A thriller indeed is "The Mask of Fu Manchu," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's elaborate version of one of Sax Eohmer's famous stories which la now being screened at the De Luxe Theatre. Boris Karloff, Lewis Stone, Karen Morley, and Myrna Loy appear in this tale of a clash between East and West. An expedition Is dispatched to the East to hunt for the tomb of Genghlz Khan. Dr. Fu Manchu, Hhe threatening shadow of China, also seeks:''the tomb, and the British Government fears the conseauences If this fanatic should obtain the sword and mask of the great military leader of long ago and seek to make a holy war. Therefore Sir Terrance Granvllle is urged to find the tomb first. Instead he falls Into the hands: of the doctor, who tortures him in the effort to find the whereabouts of the tomb. Granville's companions discover the sword and mask, but that fact brings them, incessant danger, and in a story which abounds with excitement they eventually, escape with the treasures.
