NOBLE WINS N.S.W. 100 .YARDS
SYDNEY, 29th January. In thie State 100 yards running championship, Noble, Western Suburbs, beat Hampson, the holder. McCaffcry, Eastern Suburbs, was third. Noble -won by inches, the time being 10 1-lOscc. The finish was so close on the_ heavy ground that there was some indecision in announcing the result. The crowd was so surprised that it hooted the judges.
