MANCHURIAN DISPUTE
PREPARATION OF REPORT
COMMITTEE OF NINETEEN
(British Official Wireless.) (Received 30th January, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, 29th January. Good progress is being made by the sub-committee of nine of the Committee of Nineteen of the League Assembly, which is drafting a report on the Manchurian dispute, and it is considered probable in Geneva that the report will be agreed upon early next week. It is understood that the whole report will be put into asingle document, which will comprise a preamble of the history of events, in Manchuria .down to December, 1931, based on the first eight chapters of the Lytton Re-, port, and a history of subsequent events, including the failure of concDiation. The report up to this point has been completed, and its next section, dealing with conclusions, is, at present under consideration. The final part of the report will offer recommendations and there is every likelihood that the Committee of Nineteen will shortly beable' to submit the whole report to the Asseimbly.
