NORTH V. SOUT^ The North v. South match between members of the executive of the D.B.A. Council was played yesterday, afternoon on the Hufct Greeen, the-South Island team winning by 17 to 14. The teams' were:— Past-president H. B. Oakey (Christchurch), A. P. King, W. Connor, and H. Rowley (vice-president); North Island team:—Past-president S. M. Stone (Wellington), J. KershaW (Wellington), M. J. Hodgins (Hutt) and H. G. Mayer (Dominion president, Wellington). The Weilington skip was a tower of strength to his team. The score -was 5-all on the fifth head. The South got a 5, making them 10-5. The-North, crept.up-till, they were J.l-10. The next score Was 12-all. The South then got 1 and followed this up with a 2 making them. 15-12 on the fifteenth head. On the sixteenth head the North got a2. On the last head the South Island scored 2 making their win 17-H. As Mr. Oakey had to go South last night, the game could n6t be completed, -and the «secutive wished to Be back at headquarters before the conclusion of the ..sixth round of the rinks.
