ONE WEIGHS 21 POUNDS

Onions of phenomenal size have been grown near Narrabri in the sandy loam of scrub country. Ono onion weighed 211b and was almost two feet in circumference. Three smaller ones weighed 51b each, with a girth of eleven inches. The same farm < produced watermelons 501b in' weight. Narrabri is in Northern. New South Wales, on the Namoi River, a branch of the Darling River.
