MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Cases at the Magistrate's Court were dealt with to-day by Mr. E. Page, g.M. A remand for one week was granted in the case of Leslie Cecil McCarthy, a jockey and labourer, aged 32, who was charged with converting to his own use a motor-car, valued at £125, the property of Dominion Rental Cars.
Patrick Murphy, aged 49, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined 10s. For a breach of a prohibition order he was fined £2. Default o£ payment was fixed at seven days' imprisonment.
