It -would be hard to imagine better greens than were played on at the opening of the Hutt AVinter Golf Tourney yesterday, but, with the exception of the leaders, the scoring was poor. J. L. Black led the qualifying rounds, and made a course record by two strokes with a pretty 70, as follows:— •
