:.At Auckland, after some early morning showera, • the weather cleared and it was mostly fine over the week-end, with easterly breezes prevailing. Wellington experienced very unpleasant week-end conditions. On both Saturday and Sunday it was dull and misty, with a cold south-east wind and occasional drizzling rain. Fifteen points fell tintil 9 a.m. on Sunday and seven points up till 9 a.m. to-day. At Christohurch a cold north-east wind blew on Saturday, and it was dull. Light rain'fell on Saturday night. Sunday was also -a dull day. Dunedin had fine, sunny weather on /Saturday, with a nflrth-east breeze. Sunday was fine but dull. Some rain fell on Sunday night. ■ The f orocast is for moderate to strong south-east to north-east winds. The weather should be mainly fair in western districts and in the southern parts of the South Island, but elsewhere' cloudy to overcast, with misty rain in many, places.
