HONG KONG, 31st July. v Nearly' all the inmates of a homefoF: the aged'at Canton perished in floods, which resulted -in the death of more than two hundred persons and a millioa dollars' damage. ,The rapid rise of I the river was augmented by a torren-j tial deluge, which submerged many sub*! urbs.
