TWO TE RAPA JUMPERS
According to a northern'report; the two lo Kapa jumpers,' Royal- • Visitor ' and -Luminary, were in excellent order' when they-left for the South 6n-Thursday to fulfil', engagements at the Grand National Meeting. '. ■ ■ - ■;. .■•:■■ ,: Royal Visitor had not been askedto do anything of a very strenuous nature after his return from the recent Wellington i Meeting, but he had worked soundly. He aid not. thrive well at Trentham, but his ' trainer,. A.. P, Brady,, was hopeful he Yul J ravel better•' on •this -occasion. Although he has been accepted for in the Urand National Steeplechase it 'is probable that- the" minor cross-country, race the first day will' be selected ' for him instead. J. H. McEae will do the riding. Luminary had done no schooling since the Great Northern Meeting, but had gal-' loped well for a- week {prior to his de^ parture. To all appearances 'he was in .splendid order, but he may: possibly need a .race. It. is proposed- starting him in the Jumpers' Flat Bace on tho first day, and this should serve as a good.winding«P" gallop for the Grand National Hurdles". The distance of the big event may possibly be against him, but the hurdle race oh the last day should afford him. an excel-. ■lenC opportunity of paying expenses. W.
