The value of the bridge party as a mpne^-Vaising^fnncstion was evidenced once/mpre' mr /.Wellington, yesterday, afternoon, Tvhen the Tudor Koom at Kirkcaldie's was" crowded with bridge players. Tljis effort was organised by the Citizens' Day Nursery Committee arid the very commendable object for wliicb they work.wijl benefit by a considerable sum as ,a result. ■In the abaenfto Of Mrs. W.- G.'Beid (president) Lady. Luk¥ pre'sidedj and-welcomed the
guestsj whom, she thanked, on behalf of the committee, .for their support. She announced that a similar party would probably be, held in about a month's .time, when she hoped that all would again offer their, help. Members of Kirkcaldie's tea-room staff served a delicious, tea at. the tables with noticeable" dispatch and comfort. '.. Prizes were won by Mrs. E. C. Addison (highest score) and Miss Cara Johnston (hidden number),.both of whom were presented .with attractive bridge accessories. ■ ■ :
