Horace Reginald Banfield, &■ printer, aged 29, who pleaded guilty to drunkenness and to Bteaiing a gold bangle and a pair of field glasses, valued at £3, the property of Mary Jones, was remanded until Tuesday. Pleading guilty to a further charge of the theft of an overcoat, John Thomas Hartley, aged 26, who yesterday was sentenced to . twelve. months' imprisonment, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, to be served concurrently with the larger term.
George Hall was fined £2 for committing an indecent act in Evans Bay road. *
On a charge of failing to cleanse his cowshed, Giovanni Castelli was fined £5, and for failing to cleanse his milking appliances he wa- fined £1.
Resenting an inquiry which Constable de Young addressed to him after a disturbance at a party in Vivian street, Vincent Patrick Robinson, aged 37, used obscene language and then resisted when the constable went to arrest him. For resisting,he was fined £2 and, on a charge of using obscene language, he was ordered to pay costs* 9s.
