'Many Wellington-frierfde will be interested In^he^yredding of Christopher' Eeader,' second son\of Lady Hosking, of Wellington, and the late Sir John Hosking, to Kathleen Mary Eazell, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Razell Wood, of Timaru. The ceremony took place at St. Mary's Church, Timaru, when the Yen. Archdeacon H. W. Mona-:. ghan officiated. The bride, who was escorted by he"r fatKer,_wore a loveiy gown of ivory ring' velvet. The' bodice was long and fitting to the'hips,■■ and then flared out in soft folds to the' ground. The long close-fitting sleeves were finished with a row of tiny pearls to match the edging1 of the neckline. Her long veil was of ivory silk tulle, which was fitted to the head with orange blossom buds and fell in folds forming a train. She wore a string of pearls and carried a sheaf of arum lilies. Miss Joan Wood (sister of the bride) wore a becoming frock of powder blue charmeuse made with puff sleeves, and the bodice flaring out from the-hips to fall in graceful folds to the ankles. Her smart little felt hat was the same shade of blue, and she carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas, and carnations. Mr. J. Sutherland, Waiau, was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Hosking left later in the day, the latter wearing a tailored coat and skirt of brown English tweed flecked with red, and a smart brown felt hat.

The wedding took place recently at'StJ Peter's Church,. Willis street, of Miss Vcra Beatrice Clarke, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Clarke, Brooklyn^ late Northampton, England, and Mr. Erie Walter Boyd, third son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Boyd, Lyall Bay. The bride, I who was escorted by her father, wore a classic gown of white crepe majestic, with fitting bodice and cow] neck. Her Brussells lac© veil (a gift of the bridegroom's mother) fell in soft folds over her face, and was held in place by a halo of orange blossoms. She wore a large crystal drop necklet attached to a silver chain, and carried a sheaf of white roses and heather. The bridesmaids, Misses Edith Shaw, Kathleen Dale, and Edna Murray, all wore slimfitting gowns of scarlet satin, with I white gloves, and bandeaux of tiny flowers worn well back' on the head. They all wore necklets of red Chinese I amber (gifts of the bridegroom), and carried posieß of African; daisies, tree i strawberries, and purple heather. Mr. !lvan Boyd was best man, and Mr. Norman Clarke and Mr. T. Eaven groomsmen. Little Peggy Clarke (sister of the bride) carried the bride's train, and Vera and Shirley Boyd (sisters of the bridegroom) were flower girls. They all wore white georgette ankle length frocks frilled at the hem-line, with dainty fichu bodies, scarlet shoes, and necklaces and posies to tone. The Eev. D. C. Bates conducted the ceremony, and Mr. Short was at the organ. Following the wedding, a reception was held at St. Matthew's Hall, Brooklyn, where Mrs. Clarke received about 100 guests* She wore a mulberry shaded ankle length gown, with felt hat to match. Mrs. Boyd wore a cherry coloured lace frock trimmed with fur, and hat to tone. The cako was a gift to the bride from lior uncle. As it'was the anniversary of the groom's parents' weddrng day, there was also a reunion of their wodding party. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd left for the North, tho bridetravelling in a saxe blue ensemble and hat to match. During the evening a large gathering of friends assembled at tho hall, where dancing was kept tip until the early hours of the morning
