:Old boys oi the' Clmstcliurcli Boys' High School met for-the annual reunion and dinner on Wednesday evening. Mr. B. T. Norris presided, and about fifty wei-e present, including Mr. G. W. Coutts Moon,, who was a • pupil a"' the original Christchurch High- School in 1803.
The annual report of- the Wellington branch of the association showed that the membership stood at 135. A.special, subcommittee set up' to complete the matter of affiliation with the parent association had made recommendations to the execu: tive, an^ it had been decided to endeavour to have the present basis of membership and affiliation altered and an affiliation fee of 2s 6d per member and a subscription of 2s 6d per member to the Wellington branch substituted. The committee intends to obtain the views of the other, branches with the idea of securing joint action, at the same time advising the parent association of the action taken Matters, cannot bo determined with Christchurch until their. annual meeting in February, 1933, but the committee hopes to be able to report to the next annual meeting that this 'vexed question of. many-years standing has been at last satisfactorily settled. ■. Th. following1 officers 'were elected:— President, Mr. E. T. Novris; secretary, Mr. A. K. Gray; treasurer, Mr.: P. E. Pattrick; committee, Messrs. M^^O. Barnett, L. H. Wood, O. N. Gillespie, N. Oliver, U. D. Williams, M. Burnett, and H. G. Eyans; audjtor.Mr. A; E. Curry.
During the evening Mr. E;: M. Sandston gave a series of'moving pictures, and Messrs. C. Moss arid L. J. Campbell provided rmisical items, Mr. O. N. Gillespie being the accompanißt.
The toast of "The School".was honoured by the singing of this' school song, "Altioru^ Peto." ' It was proposed by Mr. M. Burnett and responded to by Mr. H. G. Evans. '* Other toasts on the; programme, the name of the respondent being in parentheses, were: "Christ's -College, Mr. M. H. Robinson (Mr, A. P. Harper): "Otago High School," Mr. J. G. Lancaster (Mr. E. R. Winkel); "Waitaki Boys' High School," Mr. O. N. Gillespie (Mr. E. F. East); "Timaru High School," Mr. E. T. Norris (Mr. W. J. Kemp).
