LOVE AND LAW
"An attempt to combine legal terms with the personal touch" ,was Mr. Justice Street's description of a letter by Henry' Loveridgc, Lorraine avenue, Arncliffe, asking his wife, Elspeth Mary; to return to him, says the Sydney "Daily Telegraph." Loveridge said his wife left him to take a maternity course at a Sydney hospital, and he was advised to write a formal letter asking her to; come back. The letter read: "My Dear Wife, Elspeth Mary Loveridge,—l do hereby request- that you return to me at the above address, which is your home, and take up your duties as a wife, ana look after your home and children. ; I wish you to do this at once. Hoping you will consider same.—Your loving husband, H. G. Lovoridge." The wife was ordered to return within twenty-one days. .
