BUS AND TANK ;\VAQON

A collision-'between- a./mqtor-bus; and a - petrol wagon, occurred on • the Khandallah. side of the Thorndon overhead railway bridge about'B.3o a.m. to-day.' One side of the bus was rather badly damaged, and a considerable amount of glass was. broken, but no one was hurt. A wooden platform running along the side-of the tank wagon was twisted and partly shattered, but otherwise the vehicle was not damaged. Tho bus was (proceeding from Thorudon, and the tank wagon, which had come from the direction of Petone, was turning Across the'road into the newlyerected filing station when the collision occurred.. The bus skidded about twenty feet before the collision, and stopped at.-right angles to the roaa.
