Wcstland has been temporarily revoked, due, it is said, to a protest by an influential public authority on the question of the effect of such a road on matters of transport in Canterbury and Westland. :
Inquiries made from' "the* Works Department in Wellington today resulted in a statement that nothing is known of any revocation of the decision to proceed with the Lewis Pass work. , / ■
