• the^Hobart Turf Club's Winter Meetnig on_lßtli June, the principal event, the w' ne Li ndleap ' one mile, was won by Weatherwise, a^ four-year-old gelding by Weathervane, from Desrina, an imported mare by Desmond. ~He was a staunch lavourite, and wpnby half a length. The unplaced division included Star God Weatherwise was sired in' New Zealand! but foaled m New South Wales, ■ Desrina being purchased from the Elderslie Stud by Mr. J. F. Foster, of Cullengoral Stud uulgong. ■■'■'• ; '
