CROWDS OF DANCERS
The. house flags of all the various shipping ; companies . in Wellington formed a. background .for the original scheme of- decoration . ;which■■: transformed the interior of St. Francis' Hall last evening. The ■ occasion was the «nnual ball of the combined shippine «oaipanies, and. the hall was thron E ed with, guests.' A: lighthouse with a flashing beacon, red. and. green lights marking port, and starboard, and large posters on the walh. >er« very . effective features, while the ceiling, was : ,almost completely hidden-with: strings of blinking Chinese lanterns. ■ ' . .
.The hostesses .were Mrs.' C. M. Turrell. (who. wore a becoming frock of soft , leaf green ; ge6rgette), Mrs. Jximes Fmdlay (who ' was, in a ■ frock of sand-colpured Chanel, lace), Mrs. N T S\(^ ;gfe?n sat»n)»' Mrs.; j! wf? p ?M* ce vK reen, georgette, with V^r v S ? f .
