OFFER OF CONFERENCE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GBEYMOUTH, '16th June.' Mr. -T. 0. Bishop, secretary-of th« Coal Owners' Association, to-day telegraphed to Mr. W. Purdy,.tha-miners' district secretary, stating that the own^ ers will consider any proposals lor the holding of a conference if the West Coast miners desire such conference^
Mr. Purdy and Mr. McLagan,_ secretary of the United Mine Workers, ia their reply, suggest that all miners re?' sume under the' old agreement next Monday, and an unconditional conference be held immediately, preferably at Greymouth or Wostport.
