FLOCK HOUSE PLAN
rPOOR LOCAL RESPONSE
\ Tile revisod Flock House scheme, •under which the sons of ex-soldiers maybe accepted fpi- farm graining was' referred to by Colonel H. E. Av.ery,' president of the Wellington 8.5.A.,. at the annual, meeting last evening. He said that, the position loyally was that the U.S.A. and the War Belief Association had agreed to place nine boys a year at Flock -Hojuse for a •'«sriod of two years, the cost being £25 for each boy. The response was > not as willing as had ■ been ■ expected, as only four boys had presented themselves! That was 'probably due to a lack'of publicity as parents could not but be impressed with the value of giving their. boys experience on the land under discipline. Probably there were-hundreds of ex-service men in Wellington who would be glad of the opportunity of sending their boys to Flock House. .
