TWO CHILDREN ATTACKED
VICTIMS OF ALSATIAN
(By Telegraph.—Press Association;) r ' CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A story of savage attacks on two children by a pure-bred Alsatian dog,
•which inflicted ■ serious injuries, ' was told by the police to-day, when the ,-owner, Sydney Arthur Jones, of Northcote . Settlement,' appeared bofore Mr. •E. D. Mosley, S.M. S" He was charged ■with being the-owner of a dog which attacked Berenice Lang, aged five: He pleaded guilty. Tho Magistrate ordered the dog to* be destroyed, and adjourned the case ■until Tuesday to allow, the order to be
carried out. The police said that the girl was seriously hurt, and had to be kept in the hospital for two weeks. Later a boy aged seven, was also bitten, and had to go to the hospital, where ho vans still receiving treatment as an out-patient.
