ALLEGED TORTURE

Repeatedly clutching at his heart and looking very ill, Luci Delfini, an antiFascist terrorist who is on trial before a special 'tribunal for the defence of tho State, '. declared that his statements made before the trial were untrue and! were extorted by force. ".''
He declared that he had been severely ill-treated at police headquarters. He had been flogged, pins had been driven under his finger-nails, and his heart had been permanently weakened. He refused the services of a.'doctor. '
• The President of the Court said that the charges would bo investigated.
