BILL BEFORE PARLIAMENT

HOBART, This Day.
Tho House of Assembly passed the second reading of the Wood Pulp and Paper Industry Bill, which grants rights 'and' concessions to a private company over 182,000 acres of land in the Florentine Valley for the purpose of the manufacture of'wood pulp and paper. Tho company has undertaken to produce 90,000 tons of nowsprint a year.
The Bill has been referred to a Select Committee, whose report -is expected next week.
