IMPORTATION OF ONIONS
In view, of probable largo Importations of onions from Canada this season the Union Steam Ship Company, for the .convenience of importers, has arranged for tho Waikawa and the Hauraki to make Vancouver the last port of call in British Columbia. Usually these • vessels commence loading nt Vancouver,- proceeding thence to Powell River, Ocean Palls, and other British Columbia ports as required, completing their loading at San Francisco and Los Angeles: . The Waikawa is now scheduled to load at Vancouver in early September, thence direct to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Hauraki will load at Vancouver early in October, thenco direct to San Francisco, Los Angeies, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, also New Plymouth, if sufficient inducement oilers,
