EIGHT MEN REMANDED

Eight of the men alleged to have par- '■' ticipated in the looting at Huntly ap- " peared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., * in the Hamilton Magistrate's CouTt this morning. Four were charged with the '• theft of groceries valued at £10, and ■ with, inciting and encouraging lawlessness. They/were David Fuller (Australian), 32; Eaymond Kiehards (Eng- ■' land), 32; Albert Allen (England), 32; ; and Joseph Bincham (England), 50. ■- Bail was allowed, with two sureties of £100 each. The following were charg- .. Ed with the theft of groceries valued at £10:—Horatio Swindells (England), T 47; Francis George Stevens (England), ' 44; James Moyes (Scotland), 50; and Thomas Morgan (England), 44. Similar bail was allowed. On the application of the police, all the accused were - remanded to appear at Huntly next " Friday. __ >
