PERSONAL NOTES

Lady Statham returned to Wellington last evening after a holiday visit to the North. Mr. and Mrs. Cheviot Bell, Lower Hutt, are visiting Wanganui, and will return home on Sunday next. Miss Jean Leckie and Miss Lorna Brodie will leave Wellington this week for a visit to "Ngaruru," Nelson. Mrs. E. A. Christie and Miss Florence Christie, Grant road, are the guests of Mrs. H. T. J. Thacker, Christchurch. Miss Sophie Watson, Palmerston North, will bo the guest o£ Miss Enid Bell, Lowry Bay, for the golf tournament at Heretaunga next week. Miss Nancy Dixon and Miss Thyra Voii Dadelzen, Wellington, are visitors to Christchureh. Miss Margery Douglas, Sydney street, has returned home after spending Easter at the Chateau, Tongariro. Mrs. A. C. Day, Wellington, is paying a visit, to Auckland. Mrs. D. A. Hamilton, Wellington, has taken up her residence in Auckland, and is living at Shortland Plats. Mrs. Lan MacEae, Masterton, will be the guest of her aunt, Miss Duncan, Heretaunga, for the golf tournament next week. Miss M. Blathwayt, Wellington, who has been visiting Canterbury, will leave this week to stay with Colonel and Mrs. J. Cowie Nichols, Kuriheka, Oamaru. Miss Ruth Pharazyn, Dannevirke, will be a visitor to Heretaunga for the golf tournament next week. Mrs. A. E. Allison, Wadestowu, is spending Easter with her sister, Mrs. Prank Wade, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Fitzmaurice, Miramar, have returned home after a motor tour of the North Island. Dr. and Mrs. Douglas Anderson, Christchurch, are spending a fortnight in the North Island. Mrs. J. C. Schneider, Wadestown, is the guest of Mrs. W. H. Clark, Christchurch. Mr. E. P. Healy, M.P., and- Mrs. Healy left Wellington last week for Blenheim. Mrs. C. Choat is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. Mrs. H. M. Boddington, Masterton, is the guest of Mrs. P. McGovern, Remuera, Auckland. The Misses Forbes, who have been spending Easter with the Hon. and Mrs. Ransom in Pahiatua, will return to Wellington this evening.
