Playing on Kclburu faikycsleiday, a team representing tho Press defeated a team representing the Stage in a match for the Hodson Cup. The Piess won by 129 to 86 runs. The principal scores for the winning team were Howitt 23, O'Neill 24, Hobman 24,■ Hennessy 20,. and King 17. For the Stage Bell (21), Yates (22), and Holiis (12) were the highest scorers. Yates Bell, Thorpe, and Patterson returned ~tho best bowling figures for the Singe. For the Press Hobman took five wickets for 23 runs, Hunratty four for 10, and O'Xeill .no for 21.
