SMITH WILL BREAK RECORD
PLANS FOR DAYTONA NEXT MONTH
NEW YOEK, 12th January.
Sir Malcolm Campbell is considering a return to the United States within a month for. another whirl along the sands of Daytona Beach, Florida, in his famous machine, the Bluebird.
His American manager, Mr. William Strum, said on Tuesday: "Sir Malcolm Campbell is thoroughly convinced that Smith, the Australian' driver, will break his speed record. - - .
"As a result he has gone ahead pretty definitely with plans to bring his machine-back here for a record attempt- ; in; February at Daytona Beach." '
