SINKING CARGO BOAT
YONAN MARU MISSING
HOPE NOW ABANDONED
TOKIO, 20th October.
Hope is definitely abandoned regarding the freighter Yonan Maru, of 7000 tons, from Portland, with a crew of 45. She wirelessed that she was sinking near tho Aleutians on Saturday.
The searhcing steamers have returned, having found no trace.
