LYALL BAY SURF CLUB
There was a record attendance of members at the annual meeting Qf the Lyall ?ay Surf and Life-saving Club; Mr. P. Coira presided. '" ' -
On the- motion of Mr. Coira, seconded by Mr. .. Eyan, the annual report was adopted. The chairman praised the work of the club's teams during tbie season, and congratulated the club members on the successful year just completed. The club was grateful to the patron, president, and vice-presidents for their financial help. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. L. P. Morpeth for his services as hon. auditor of the club, and also to the retiring officers for their services. Mention was made/ by the:,chairmap of. the able way in which Mr. S.Muller again tramed the successful Nelson Shield team.
The opening of the 1931-32 season was fixed for Saturday, 31st October, at 3 p.m. The" chairman then agked-the members to stand" in 'silence in v:tokeri of respect to the late Mr. Salek, J.P., father of Mr. L.'Salek, of the club.,: .
