AGREEMENT REACHED

A conference of the anti-Labour forces, including delegates from the National and Country Parties and the All-for-Australia League, reached a full agreement upon the policy for the Federal elections, which are expected early in the year. It was decided to create a council representative of the industrial, commercial, rural, and political interests, with city and country wings, the leadership of which would be decided at a later date. Efforts will be directed toward tariff revision, affording all-round relief; also arbitration reform, and the creation of new States.
