AMMON RA'S WINNINGS

Aminon Ka's win in the Caulfield Guineas on Saturday was worth £23G2 10a, making his total stake winnings £21,053 10s, of which he won £2535 in New Zealand last season. Since being purchased by Mr. C. C. Sheath about seven months ago he has won £18,518 10s, all of which he has accounted for in Australia. Preparations for the Labour Day Meetings at Waverley and Trentham are in full progress on the Hawera tracks. The weather has been unfavourable, and lull advantage will be taken by trainers of all chances that now come for speeding up their charges.

Peter Jackson, Splutter, Havering, Iliehfield, Silvermine, and Chief Link are down to race at Trentham, but several of these have also been nominated for Waverley. A final decision as to their owners' intentions will probably be disclosed this week.

Havering has been visiting the tracks regularly, and will not be long in reaching racing shape. His owner intends racing him at - the New Zealand Cup Meeting. Silvermine is likely to race at the Treutham Meeting. J. .Fryer's two-year-old, Splutter, all going well meanwhile, is to race at Trentham, and Peter Jackson may accompany her.

6. Cox will be represented at Waverley and Wellington. Constant Suu, Hampden, Tavora, and Davistock are to race at Waverley, and Barbaean and the two-year-olds Merry Ruler and Grand Joy will race at Trentham.

Royal Papa still figures in the Wellesley Stakes, but hag not quite recovered from a cold, aud is unlikely to make the trip. . Koyal Acre has rejoined M. Comvay s team, and looks in great condition to start work. While out at his owner's place he showed himself proficient over big fences, and he is likely eventually to be put to steeplechasing. Calamine is making good progress in hop work, and in a month or so she should be in fine order. Goldzone, who has yet to break- her maiden status, will probably be tried over a bit of ground at Waverley. She is very well just now, and looks sure to run well at next time out. Orby's Choice in doing his work nicely, and is to open his season's racing at Waverley. . . . Balloon is again going well in Jus work, as is also Tenacre, who races! in the same ownership. Gasnapper has not been responsible for any. work since Wanganui, and is likely to be returned to his owner. Jadarino, the long-overdue maiden in J. Fryer's stable, is coming on, and should bo Seen in a more favourable light when next raced. Bon Eve and Miss Slier are getting through useful tasks daily, and later on the pair should reach good racing shape.
