SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

The members of the Victoria League gave their annual concert to seafarers at t'e Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday with Jiy marked success; indeed the artists were overwhelmed by their reception. The programme was arranged by Mrs. Ivan Myers. The performers were members of the Pioneer Club, Mesdames Downer, J. Myers, Misses F. Kerr, Ella Fair, and Messrs. Cooke and J. Stapp. The Misses Putnam and M. Keegan were at the piano. The members vied with each other in attending to the wants of the men. Mr. J. Moore, Missioner, spoke on "After" in relation to temperance. The competitions were of a happy nature, prizes coming from Mesdames R. E. Robertson and A. L. Warburton and Mrs. Ethel Mitchell.
