SENT BACK TO PAKATOA

Becently released from a term of detention at Pakatoa Island, Florence Emma Emery,' aged 60, gave herself up to the police at Wellington on Sunday, and said that she wished to go back to the island. She appeared before Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., on Monday, charged with being a rogue and vagabond in that: she had insufficient lawful means of support, and having been previously convicted as. an incorrigible rogue.
