It is believed at Basle that the Bank of International Settlements has extended for three months the twenty millions sterling credit granted^ to Germany in June, and is also convening without delay a conference of Central Banks with the object of facilitating dealing in the foreign exchanges of those countries where there are restrictions, notably Britain and Germany.
