LORD GREY AND LIBERALS

J (Received 13th October, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, 12th October. • The veteran Liberal statesman, Lord Grey, in a speech in London this afternoon, professed himself a warm supporter of the manifesto of tho Prime Minister. He commended tho honourable decisions of Liberals who had stood aside in favour of National Labour and Conservative candidates. Referring to tho disorganised state of the world, he said that in view of the possibilities of complications arising, it would be unfair to extort pledges from the' Government which would fetter its power to deal with emergencies.
