Lieutenant-Commander E. G. Rhodes, E.N. (retired), is leaving Wellingtoa this evening for the Soutb. The death is announced by the Press Association from Hamilton of Mr.- H. Munro, for the past five years manager of the Buakura State Farm. He was 56 years of age. - The following visitors to Wellington are staying at the Grand Hotel: — Messrs. F. H. Turnbull and J. C. Cade (Wanganui), C. N. Vickridge (Hawera), \V. E. Foley (Stratford), J. G. Hassett (Brisbane), and L. F. Prentice (Sydney). ' Among the guests at the Empire Hotel are:—Messrs. E. C. Smith and G. H. Oakley (Auckland), J. G. Ingram (Nelson), E. C. Robinson (Levin), H". C. Jenkins (Wanganui), and E. C. Skipago (Lyttelton). Mr. J. H. Parr, son of Sir James Parr, was admitted a barrister of the Supreme Court.last week by Mr. Justice Herdman, on the motion of Mr. E. C. Blomfleld. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Bates, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Barton and Mr. T. B. Davis (Wanganui), and Messrs. George ' K. Worledge (Auckland), W. E. Warnes (Nelson), and R. F. E. Beetham (Mas: terton)-are staying at the Eoyal Oak Hotel. The Rev. A. G. Dawson, curate of All Saints' Church, Ponsonby, Auckland, has been appointed vicar of Thames, in place of the Rev. E. B; Davison, who has been' appointed to Devonport. Sinclair-Bur-gess, General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, and Major Jennings, General Staff Officer for Military Training Operations, are leaving Wellington this evening for the South Island on matters connected with military training. They will probably return to Wellington on Saturday morning. ■ • ■ ■ Mr. John Hcndry Kraft, who died in Wellington on Saturday, at the age of 58 years, was a prominent worker in St. John's Presbyterian Church, and was elected to the Management Committee in 1018, and to the kirk session in 1921. Since 1918 he had held office as secretary and treasurer on the Sunday school" staff. The late Mr. Kraft was born in Queensland in 1573, and came to AVellington in the early 'eighties. He was a member of the Britannia Lodge, of tho Manchester Unity of Oddfellows, and a past president of tho Wellington Past Grands Lodge. For 33 years he was on the staff of the Wellington Gas Company. The funeral yesterday was largely attended, tho services at the house and at the graveside being conducted by tho Rev. J. E..
